Kundapur, Apr 26: The flyover near Shastri circle on NH66 here finally opened for traffic on April 25. The flyover was officially opened for traffic without any pre-planned programmes on Sunday evening.

The work on the flyover was progressing at snail’s pace for the past several years. Several protests were held opposing the delay. The matter was discussed in taluk panchayat and KDP meetings also. The district administration and sub-divisional officer had warned ordering to complete the work.

The people who welcomed the opening are sharing their joy in social media. Heddari Horata Samithi has pressed to complete the remaining works soon. “The assistant commissioner here has assured of setting everything right,” said Heddari Horata Samithi’s B Kishore Kumar and Rajesh Kaveri.
