Beltangady: Auto driver succumbs to injuries two weeks after accident

Beltangady, Apr 25: An auto driver who sustained severe injuries in a road accident reported at Putrabailu, Laila here succumbed in the wee hours of Sunday April 25, after battling for life for over two weeks.

Pramod Bhaira, son of former taluk panchayat member Eshwara Bhaira, had met with an accident on April 10.

It is said that Pramod underwent surgery on Saturday April 24 night in a private a hospital in the city, but could not be saved.

The accident occured on April 10 when Pramod lost control while driving his auto and rammed into an electric pole. As a result, four people in the auto were severely injured.

Ramanna Putrabail, Vasantha Rani, Ramappa Gandhinagara who were injured in the incident are said to be out of danger.
