Kasargod, Apr 23: Prohibitory orders have been declared for seven days in 15 local administration limits of the district where the numbers of Covid patients are high. “The orders under Section 144 of the CrPC will come in force from midnight of April 23 and will stay in place for seven days,” stated deputy commissioner Dr D Sajith Babu.

“The order will be compulsorily implemented along with the already announced protocol by the state government,” he stated.

The decision was taken at the meeting of the disaster management authority which was presided over by the deputy commissioner on Friday, April 23.

The prohibitory orders are imposed in Kanhangad, Nileshwar municipal council limits, gram panchayats of Chemnadu, Pallikere, Uduma, Ajanoor, Cheruvathur, Kallar, Kayyur-Cheemeni, Kinanoor-Karindalam, Kodom-Belur, Madikai, Padanna, Pullur-Periya and Thrikaripur. The gathering of people is banned. Police inspection and strict security have been arranged in these places.

DSP P B Rajiv, additional DC, Atul S Nath, district medical officer, Dr A V Ramadas and others were present.
