Mangaluru: Fire breaks out at MCC Bank, firefighters rush to douse flames

Mangaluru, Apr 23: Fire broke out at the head office of Mangalore Catholic Co-operative (MCC) Bank on St Aloysius College Road, Hampankatta, on Friday April 23.

It is said that fire broke out from the server room of the bank. The exact reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained. The incident was reported at around 12 noon.

Three Emergency and Fire Services vehicles rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

It is gathered that the incident took place when the staffs were working in the bank. As soon as smoke engulfed the premises, the employees came out from the bank and alerted the Emergency and Fire Services officials.

The electricity to the bank was soon disconnected.
