Mangaluru, Apr 17: Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar visited Urwa police station here on Saturday April 17, which has turned into a ‘model’ Covid station with all precautionary measures to face the pandemic.

A kiosk has been set up in the premises of the station, where they will collect details of visitors to the station. Oxymeter will be used and thermal check-up will be done and then the visitors will be allowed inside the station.

Kashaya will be provided for the visitors prepared by the personnel of the station. Hot water will also be served to drink.

Speaking to media, the police commissioner said, “During the first wave of the pandemic, several cops were tested positive. There is a need to take all precautionary measures for the safety of the cops. Even ayurvedic kashaya will be provided for the cops three times a day which will boost immunity. They will be provided hot water to drink in addition.

“We are planning to set up such kiosks at all station premises,” he said.
