Mangaluru, Apr 17: Stirring yet another controversy, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said that Friday and Sunday are not the only days to seek God. Bhat said that one can pray to God every day and only certain days are not fixed to offer prayers.
Speaking at a programme at Pilar at Ullal, Bhat said, "There is nothing like God has to be seen only on the afternoon of Friday or on the morning of Sunday. He can be seen at any moment on any day. In Hindu religion, prayers can be offered to God at any time.
"Nowhere it is said that we have to offer Pooja to God at a particular day or time. We have not said that we have to pray in one particular direction, then only God can be seen. Some people say that only if someone faces west at 12.30 pm on Friday and says Allah Ho Akbar, they see God. Some others say that only on 7 am or 9 am on Sunday if they offer Pooja and say 'Our Father in Heaven', they see God. Does that mean that except Fridays and Sundays, God is not available on other days?
"God is our faith. God is present at any time of the year. We do not oppose the beliefs of anyone. We see God in everything and at all times. There is nothing that Pooja has to be offered in the morning or afternoon. God is there 24 hours of the day for 365 days. There is no time when God is not available. We can name God as we like,” he said.
