Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 16: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 256 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 37,562. Out of these, 1,414 cases are currently active.
A total of 680,086 samples have been tested. Out of which 642,524 are negative.
As many as 92 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 35,405.
A total of 743 deaths have occurred so far.
Udupi
The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 26,470, including 101 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 591 cases are currently active.
Over 459,554 samples have been tested so far.
As many as 35 patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 25,686.
A total of 193 deaths have occurred so far including one on Friday.
