Kasargod: Excise officials arrest man for concealing 9.5 kg ganja in chicken coop

Kasargod, Apr 15: The department of excise, Kerala on Thursday, April 15 arrested an accused in connection with illegal possession of 9.5 kg of cannabis concealed in a chicken coop.

The arrested accused is identified as Abdul Rehman a resident of Hidayath Nagar in Madhur, Chuttagui.

It is learnt that Rehman had concealed the cannabis in a chicken coop near his residence. When the excise officials raided his residence the concealed ganja was found.

It is said Abdul Rehman was the accused in the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances case.

Almost two weeks ago officials had arrested two accused with 13 kg ganja from Vadakara. The duo had revealed information about Abdul Rehman. Following this, the officials carried out a search operation.

Rehman is said to have procured ganja from Andra Pradesh and distribute it in several places of Kasargod.
