Mangaluru, Apr 12: The city crime branch (CCB) police have succeeded in taking into custody eight people who had made arrangements locally to undertake highway robberies in the city and elsewhere in Dakshina Kannada district. This was stated by city police commissioner, Shashi Kumar, in a press conference held in the city on Monday April 12.

When the CCB police were on special night rounds relating to night curfew on Sunday April 11, a gang that had parked an Innova car by the roadside at Parari in Ulaibettu village within the limits of Mangaluru rural police station was sighted. The gang, armed with lethal weapons, was waiting in a crowd to stop vehicles passing by the road. Tausir alias Pattonji Tausir (28) from Marnamikatte, Mohammed Arafat alias Arafa (29) from Arkula Cottage, Farangipet, Bantwal, Tasleem (27) from Ammemar Farangipet, Nasir Hussain (29), Thumbe House near Bantwal government school, Mohamad Rafique (37), tenth mile, Pudu village, Bantwal, Mohammed Safwan alias Safwan (25), tenth mile Pudu village, Mohammed Jainuddin (24), Ammemar, Pudu village, and Unaiz alias Mohammad Unaiz (25), resident of tenth mile, Pudu village, Bantwal, were taken into custody.

The accused were waiting to rob the vehicles at Parari and also had planned for high robbery in the city outskirts. Two sabres, two knives, one dragon knife, eight mobile phones, five monkey caps, three packets of red chilli powder, and an Innova car bearing registration No. KA 09 N 7886, totally valued at Rs 10,89,490 were seized from their possession. A case has been registered in the rural police station here, and investigation is on.

Under the guidance of deputy commissioners of police, Hariram Shankar and, Vinay A Gaonkar (crime and traffic), CCB inspector Mahesh Prasad, police sub-inspector Rajendra B, Pradeep T R and CCB personnel took part in the operation.

The police said that the gang is being run by Tausir alias Tausi alias Patonji and rowdy Batish alias Basith, currently living abroad. Tausir had set up TB (Tausir and Basith) group for the purpose. He used to recruit members to the group and got involved with financial settlements. Batish alias Bashith used to issue instructions to the gang members. Under one such instruction, Tausir and others had recently collected information about Anas from Sullia and planned to recover money from him.

Safwan of the Tausir gang had lent Rs 12 lac to Ziyad from Melkar B C Road, presently conducting business operations at Bengaluru. As he did not repay the money, the gang went to Bengaluru to recover it. But they could not meet Ziyad, Therefore, they had returned and were waiting to commit highway robberies. Tausir and Tasleem have been named in a case of failed robbery attempt within Dharmasthala police station limits.

Tausir faces six cases in different police stations and was evading arrest in the robbery case. Tasleem was involved with the double murder of Riyaz and Fayaz at Farangipet in 2017 and is involved with 12 cases, and had evaded arrest. Jainuddin has nine cases against is name, Arafath has three cases, and one case each is registered against Naseer Hussain and Mohammed Rafiq at different police stations. The cases include murder, attempt to murder, kidnap, blackmail, riot, cattle theft, financial settlements and extortion, the police stated.

These goons want simply money which hard earned money from others. Now everybody is giving simply the excuse of no jobs?Or they dont want to work?If there is no jobs go to Indian Army. There are enough jobs there, get good food ,get weapons to use but in only restricted area. How come their parents allow this to their children? And speaking of religion ?They had chilli powder why didnt police throw into their eyes to exhibit how good it is?make them understand how people suffer with it?Such Rogues should be not allowed out of Jail.hard punishment is required .After so many murder ,robberies ,many cases how come they are out? When they have not studied who will give them job?:Let them go to school even now in night school study and sure they can get good jobs .Only one who wants. How many people so studied in night school and got jobs under many problems. Here one sees all are from same community unfortunately ,and not first time.Let their religion head take them to breast and give them a good lesson.

You cannot blame God and Modi for everything in life. Thats the biggest mistake the Congress and its chelas have done so far and look where they are today. They have to depend on a Wayanad or Ullala for survival.

They were earning well and eating well. Mutton beryani, korma, masala and parata. These days youngsters are fashion follwere and girls chasers. A motor bike is a must and strong perfume. So if cattle thieves and illegal transporters are caught by Bajrang Dal and handed over to the police , then BDs are jobless goons. Its wrong and illegal , as cattle thieves have a common factor. If highway robbers and murder conspirators again from the common factor are caught, then its wrong and due to Modi . Dont get the logic by the Vadra Congress supporters. No wonder the party is decimating.

Dear Mr Sheikh ,Usually you live and die by the rule book rihgt, Is this written in some page number or verse that if you dont have Job induldge in Criminal activities. ? Jobless and unemployment is limited to a certain community is it ? Even today there is shortage of har working skilled workers. We dont get carpenters, Plumbers Masons when needed despite tthem charging 1000 rs per day. The problem is some people only want Shoki Jobs of sitting in some Mobile Sales & Service shops in a fancy mall with air Condition, oogling at girls. spending some relatives gulf money or his left over perfumes, bought from his painfull hard earned savings after smuggling gold hidden inside his rectum, put some hair jell and this new beard trend, wear mukkal pants and pressure your hard working parents or relatives for a new or second hand bike, pick up some girl by chance ... then complain that becase of GST & Demonitization there is no business, lets steal a cow from around Bajpe side and stuff it inside a Maruti alto, and sell it to a illegal Slaughter house , earn some petty commision at a the expense of its distraught owners for whom this cow was part of their life, in the night go to some other communities place of worship and commit some attrocity , next day go to protest called by your favorite politcial pudaari, for a reason you have no Clue about , pelt stones at police and create law and order situaion.... then cry Minorities life has turned miserbale under this rule.

Total fertility rate per woman in India is 2.2 today. Fertility rate of Hindus 2.1, Muslims 2.6, Christians 2, Buddhists 1.7, Sikhs 1.6 and Jains 1.2. Fertility rate 2.1 is the rate worldwide, which is able to replace itself from generation to generation. Barring Hindus and Muslims, the total fertility rate for all other religious communities has dropped below replacement levels. This is as per latest statistics provided by govt. Five, six to a dozen children may be there for a particular couple, but the total average is as stated above.

For people here commenting based these peoples religion, remember if you look up and spit it falls on your face. There is no religion for criminals. We have seen right wing workers caught with cow smuggling for slaughter. We have seen Christian, Muslim and Hindu criminals joined together in robberies and murders. I don’t know why certain people only pick on religion when a case like this is reported.

Many UP/Odissa workers are working in construction, carpentry and Saloons. Why cant these people do that work. Its very simple. Local jobs below their dignity and thinking they are from Aristocrat or Royal family and they want easy money and royal life.
