Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Apr 12: A youth who was once working as night watchman has now become the assistant professor of IIM Ranchi. In a post in his Facebook account, he narrated about his life's journey, which has become viral with over 37,000 likes.

Ranjith Ramachandran, who is from Kasargod, has been appointed as the assistant professor in IIM Ranchi. Ranjith explains that he had never gone out of Kasargod where he was born and brought up, till he grew up. He said he is posting his life's journey in the Facebook in order to inspire others also to put in hard work and have passion. State finance minister, T M Thomas, is among those who have wished him well.

Ranjith was working as night watchman at the BSNL telephone exchange at Panathur, Kasargod. He was pursuing his degree in economics then. He attended college during the day and worked as night watchman at night. After getting degree, we went to IIT Madras but he faced problems as he knew only Malayalam language. He wanted to sink his aim, but his guide, Dr Subhash, urged him to stay on. With his support, Ranjith continued the studies and got PhD doctorate degree last year, he said.

For the last two months, he had worked as an assistant professor in Christ University Bengaluru. His father is a tailor and mother was a daily wager under the employment guarantee scheme of the government. He happens to be the eldest of the three children. His family lived in a house, roof of which was covered with plastic because it always leaked. He reiterates that the only purpose he reproduced his story is to urge people to dream big and work hard to achieve it.

In the 1990s Smriti Irani who was then Smriti Malhotra, was working at the Bandra outlet of popular fast food joint McDonald's and today she's took over as the Women and Child Development Minister. so Ranjith Ramachandran at least much better in view of point
