Belagavi, Apr 12: "The infighting in the Congress has now spilled out into the streets. D K Shivakumar and several other leaders have joined together to kick Siddaramaiah out of the party. After the bypolls, Siddaramaiah will be out of the Congress," said BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking at a press meet here on Sunday April 11, Nalin said that Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar are engaged in a bitter battle for supremacy. "Several leaders have come together to pull Siddaramaiah, who has been claiming arrogantly that he would be the next chief minister of Karnataka, down. Shivakumar wants to drive out Siddaramaiah at any cost. At the same time, Siddaramaiah is evolving techniques to ensure that the Congress does not win any of the bypolls as long as Shivakumar is the state president," he claimed.
Nalin said that notices had been served on BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, thrice. He said that before taking disciplinary action against an MLA, certain rules and regulations have to be followed. He said that Yatnal fails to understand the difference between show cause notice and the letter.
