Bengaluru, Apr 11: People of Karnataka may have to brace up for the second-wave Covid infection cases to peak in the first week of May and slow down by the end of the month, said health and family welfare minister Dr K Sudhakar.

Experts of the state government constituted high-level Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on Covid management have asked the state government to take appropriate steps to be very vigilant till the end of May, Dr Sudhakar said while speaking to reporters after a meeting with the experts of the committee in Bengaluru on Sunday.

"We have to take measures accordingly,’’ he said.

The minister cautioned that all should be vigilant till the end of May.

"If there is a further surge in cases, our health infrastructure will be over-burdened. Experts of TAC have suggested being vigilant at borders and thoroughly test incoming travellers from high caseload states,’’ he said.

Dr Sudhakar said TAC has been directed to come up with a report which will be submitted to chief minister B S Yediyurappa so that further measures can be taken.

He mentioned that the private hospitals have extended their support to the state government.

"We were among the first in the country to start Tele-ICU and private hospitals have also utilised it. We need to further strengthen this system,’’ he said.

He said suggestions that impact economic activities will not be considered. However, experts have suggested that we must curb large gatherings and crowds that spread infection.

Women are role models

Karnataka has received 72 lac doses of vaccine, he said pointing out that so far about 61 lac doses of vaccine have been administered in the state out of which 53% are administered to women.

"Women have emerged as role models when it comes to participation in vaccination drive,’’ said the minister.

He said Mahatma Jyotirao Phule dedicated his entire life to the empowerment of women and the downtrodden through education and social transformation and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar is the architect of our Constitution and crusader of social justice.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a clarion call to celebrate Vaccine Festival during their birth anniversaries. We must not let politics, religion, caste or language into this vaccination drive. Therefore, we have administered the vaccine to women belonging to different faiths today as a symbolic gesture,’’ Dr Sudhakar said.

PM lauded Karnataka's efforts

The Prime Minister spoke to Yediyurapa and appreciated Karnataka's efforts to contain the second wave. Modi has suggested focusing on micro containment zones. "We will take measures towards it,’’ said the minister.

"I will continue to make surprise visits to hospitals and vaccination centres. Irregularities and improper facilities won't be tolerated. If people are aware and cooperate there is no need for lockdown or curb on economic activities,’’ he added.

While talking to IANS, Arora mentioned that even patients who are recovering from Covid-19 are experiencing massive gastrointestinal bleeding, which is due to clotting in the vessels that might lead to ulceration and necrosis and GI bleeding. It is seen that Covid-19 patients in the second wave are experiencing new symptoms, such as joint pain, body ache, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea, ulceration in the stomach, etc, are among the new symptoms. The health experts also found the absence of cough and fever and yet people being tested Covid positive. They also warned that as many details about the SARS-CoV-2 virus are still not known, it is important to maintain a healthy diet by taking natural antioxidants to keep our other organs healthy such as the liver -- as it plays an important role in keeping us healthy.

Just like weather report most of the times miss while occasional hit. No medical systems will be overwhelmed if only those people who need hospitalization are treated instead of sending healthy people on the basis of a test that doesn't mean they have any disease. Last year a prominent doctor gave data which is still good- 80% are asymptomatic, out of rest only 15% might develop some symptoms, out of them 3% might need hospital stay & 1% might need ICU Care. Which proves our system won't be overburdened & the authorities need not go overboard with some Technical Advisory Committee think tanks projections as this virus was with us since 50 years & most of us have immune protection against them according to prominent doctors who are dealing with this pandemic & the state will be better off getting them on the committee to end this as soon as possible & we will be Back To Normal & will be Role Model for other states should we follow their advise.

Do not relax. Corona lockdowns and restrictions will be an annual affair. The virus will exist until society has become mature and docile enough to step into a new Utopia. People should understand that their freedoms are a small thing to sacrifice towards attainment of a globalized, atheistic, egalitarian, raceless, borderless new world order. They will have to bear it. In the end it is for their own good.

Correct it is Communist plan. Communists and global elites want of their own clan only new world order through depopulation, from 8 Billion to 500 million but then God will cleanup all remaining evil godless through asteroids 2027 / 2029 and bring back to life all those who perished for 1000 years of peace on earth as prophecied in Book of Revelation Chapters 20,21,22.
