Udupi, Apr 9: Retired teacher of Kadvoor school, Sundar Master recently warned suspended Udupi BEO Manjula of slapping defamation suit for addressing him as leader of Dalit Sangharsh Samiti while accusing him in her statement.
Sundar Master was speaking at a press conference that was held on Friday April 9. Sundar further said, "She (Manjula) is not at all eligible to be a BEO. She is in the rank of a headteacher. She had conducted many atrocities during her tenure. She has immediately responded to the unanimous letters that were sent against her. She has withheld the facilities that were to be given to schools.
"Though there is a rule that books and uniforms have to be supplied to schools, Manjula has asked the teachers of schools to come to the office of the BEO and carry them to their respective schools. In addition, she has given false reports that books and uniforms are supplied to schools and misused that amount.
"Suspended BEO Manjula had demanded Rs 50,000 as a bribe from me in order for me to get my pension. A complaint was raised with the CEO of zilla panchayat. When I was the headteacher, she obstructed the development works in my school. Four months after I got retired, she filed a complaint on me of misappropriation of funds.
"Manjula has used a private driver to drive the department vehicle, without insurance, for her personal use. Around Rs 67,000 is misused for fuel of the vehicle. Manjula got the vehicle service done without the knowledge of the RTO and has asked for a huge amount to be paid. The concerned department and district administration has to conduct a suitable inquiry on all these frauds done by suspended BEO Manjula."
