Belagavi, Apr 9: "The leadership in the state will see a change by the time the bypoll exercises are completed and result is announced. In case I am made the chief minister (CM), I will rule the state on the lines of Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath," said Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, BJP MLA, who is at loggerheads with Karnataka CM and some other leaders of his party.

Speaking to media persons, he said that some people who have no capacity to become even the directors of corporations and boards are dreaming of becoming CMs. He also said that people who have come into the party recently are also thinking of becoming CMs.

Sri Jayamrityunjaya Swamiji of Koodala Sangama Panchamasali Math said that Yatnal is the firebrand face of Hindutva and also the aggressive leader of Panchamasali community. He felt that therefore the BJP should not overlook him. He felt that an attempt to humiliate him is being done in the BJP but he is like a tiger which cannot be subdued, and that the community has given him the strength to bounce back every time.
