Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 6: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 89 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 36,143. Out of these, 680 cases are currently active.

A total of 646,467 samples have been tested. Out of which 610,324 are negative.

As many as 35 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 34,721.

A total of 742 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 43,139 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 44,88,730 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 25,574, including 57 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 398 cases are currently active.

Over 431,640 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 55 patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 25,041.

A total of 192 deaths have occurred so far.
