Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 5: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 56 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 36,054. Out of these, 626 cases are currently active.
A total of 643,104 samples have been tested. Out of which 607,050 are negative.
As many as 72 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 34686.
A total of 742 deaths have occurred so far.
Over 42,790 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 44,52,930 in fines have been collected by the authorities.
Udupi
The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 25,574, including 59 fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 396 cases are currently active.
Over 429,988 samples have been tested so far.
As many as 53 patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 24,986.
A total of 192 deaths have occurred so far.
