Mangaluru: Security guard found dead in stranded dredging vessel under mysterious circumstances

Mangaluru, Apr 5: A 42-year-old man working as a security guard in 'Bhagavathi Prem', the stranded dredger, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the sea at Guddekopala on Monday April 5.

The deceased is identified as Shankar, a local resident.

It is said that the company had deployed private security guards to guard the stranded dredger. For the past two years, the vessel is stranded in the sea.

According to police sources, after 12 pm, Shankar went missing. There were two other security guards in the dredger. The exact cause for the death yet to be ascertained.

A case has been registered at the Surathkal police station.
