Panaji, Apr 5: In his message to the faithful in Goa on the occasion of Easter, the archbishop of Goa and Daman, Filipe Neri Ferrao said that Easter signals the victory of life over death and the forces of darkness.

"This year too we are celebrating Easter at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic continues to hold our world to ransom, with its trail of suffering and death. We also see forces of darkness at play in various parts of the world," the archbishop said.

He further urged the faithful to intensify their prayers for the world that 'we may be freed from the shackles that keep humanity enslaved to darkness'.
