Mangaluru, Apr 4: The department of primary and secondary education has convened a meeting of educationists, representatives of private school organizations and officials on Monday April 5 to hold discussions about holding examinations for students studying in standards 1 to 9.
Fear of the second COVID-19 wave has put a question mark on holding of examinations for these classes. The meeting, being held at the Shikshana Karnataka Hall at Nripatunga Road, here, will be chaired by the primary and secondary education minister, S Suresh Kumar. The meeting, being held at 10.30 am, will discuss about the evaluation of student performance.
Educationist, Dr V P Niranjanaradhya, Registered Unaided Private School Management Association Karnataka president, Lokesh Talikatte, Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka president, Halanur Lolaksha, and Associated Managements of Schools in Karnataka sectetary, D Shashikumar, have been invited to take part in the said meeting.
In-charge chief secretary of the department, G Kumar Naik, commissioner, Anbukumar, and other officials will be present.
