Mangaluru, Apr 3: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shivakumar on Saturday April 3 said, "If chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa thinks that his administration is unbiased, he should sack K S Eshwarappa by evening. Or else Eshwarappa should submit resignation voluntarily."
Shivakumar was speaking at the premises of Mangaluru International Airport on his way to campaigning for the assembly elections in Kerala.
"A senior-most cabinet minister has written openly about the administration to a person from whom he took the oath to become a minister. If he had written to the high command, it is their internal matter. But, he has written to the constitutional head and stated that he has no confidence in the CM minister," he said.
Stating that the administration is completely collapsed in the state, he said, "Officers cannot work and are being transferred within three to six months. A minister does not have confidence in the CM. I have worked as a minister when Bangarappa was the CM. No minister questioned the CM’s administration in history. Eshwarappa has exposed the CM," he said.
“If Yediyurappa thinks that his administration is right, he should sack Eshwarappa by evening. Or else Eshwarappa should submit the resignation voluntarily. But, he has defended himself that he is a loyalist of the party, not a rebel. This is the issue about the administration of the state. You are teaching a lesson to the entire country. You are stating that BJP is running good administration.
“People in the state are fed up due BJP’s administration. They do not have control over the administration. If Yediyurappa wants to continue, he should dismiss Eshwarappa by evening or Eshwarappa should tender his resignation.
“We have given good service to the people of the state. We have worked with all the chief ministers, and cooperated with the administration,” he said.
Taking a dig at Nalin Kumar Kateel, Shivakumar said, “Look into your own party’s affairs. The entire state is under your leadership. What sort of statements are your party leaders giving?”
Speaking on new Covid guidelines in the state, Shivakumar said. These guidelines are utter flop. They do not have practical knowledge. The guidelines do not have any logic.”
