Mangaluru, Apr 2: Sri Sri Sri Mohandas Paramahamsa Swami of Mahalaxmi temple, Manila, said that the 'Dharma Nemosthava' at Kelagina Kunjadi Tharavadu will be held on April 8 and 9.
He was addressing a press meet at hotel Ocean Pearl in the city on Friday, April 2.
The 'Dharma Nemosthava' will be held for the deities 'Ullakulu', 'Abbejalaya', 'Raktheshwari', 'Pilichamundi' and 'Parivara Daivas'. There will be mass feeding (Prasadam) during both days, he said.
On Thursday, April 8, at 11 am, the 'Bhandara will arrive. 'Pallapooje' followed by Annasantharpane (mass feeding) will be held at 12.30 pm. The Nemosthava for Ullakulu, Abbejalaya, Raktheshwari, will commence from 7.30 pm.
On Friday, April 9, 'Abaya Pradhana' will be held from 6 am. Nemosthava for Pilichamundi and Parivara Daivas will commence from 5 pm. As per the Covid-19 guidelines, all the cultural programmes have been cancelled, Swamiji informed.
The Nemosthava will be held by adhering to all the guidelines of covid-19, he added.
During this occasion, a house constructed at the cost of Rs 5 lac will be donated to the poor family by the family members of 'Tharavadu'.
BJP state president, Nalin Kumar who is a family member of Tharavadu said, "All the measures will be taken to check the spread of Covid-19 during the programme. Sanitization tunnels and a team of doctors team will be deployed. All the measures to check the spread of Covid-19 will be taken. This programme will be taking place on a 150-acre land and therefore will not create an issue in maintaining social distance."
