Kundapur: 28-year-old Joseph Gomes dies after bike rams into lorry

Kundapur, Apr 1: In a tragic incident, a youth from Perampalli here in Udupi died after the motorbike he was riding hit a truck at Yedur, near Masthikatte here in the evening on Wednesday March 31.

The deceased has been identified as Joseph Gomes (28). As per sources, Joseph and his other friends had been to a friend's home at Masthikatte. Joseph was riding a motorbike and other friends were travelling in a car.

Joseph lost control over his vehicle and hit a lorry transporting timber coming from the opposite side at Yedur.

Joseph was working as an insulator driver at Malpe port. He was very actively involved in various social and cultural associations of Perampalli.

The mortal remains were brought to Udupi on Wednesday evening.
