Bantwal: Private bus veers into roadside ditch - 23 including students injured

Bantwal, Mar 31: A private bus fell into a roadside ditch as the driver of the bus lost control. Many people got injured in the incident. The mishap occurred near SVS College on Wednesday March 31.

This bus was plying B C Road via Punjala Katte, Moorje and Vamadapadavu.

There were around 25 passengers in the bus including many students who had exams on Wednesday, March 31.

The injured have been identified as Shyamala, Swati, Abhinav, Gopala Sapalya Vamadapadavu, Hemavati Vamadapadavu, Chandravathi Annalike, students Vahida of Koyla, Vikhyati of Mavinakatte, Vaishnavi of Vamadapadavu among others. All are admitted to Bantwal government hospital.

Health minister Dr Sudhakar visited the injured in the hospital and enquired about their well-being. He also collected information on the background of the incident and assured suitable action. MLA Rajesh Naik was also present.
