Mar 29: Dakshina Kannada reports 45 fresh corona cases, Udupi records 71

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 29: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 45 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 35,607. Out of these, 579 cases are currently active.

A total of 6,27,379 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,91,772 are negative.

As many as 38 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 34,286.

A total of 742 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 39,466 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 40,61,330 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 25,132, including 71 fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 779 cases are currently active.

Over 416,213 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 116 patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 24,162.

A total of 191 deaths have occurred so far.

    Thumb rules: 1. Wear Masks that cover both nose and mouth. 2. Avoid touching your face with your hands and always wash your hands throroughly. 3. Maintain physical distance. 4. Avoid touching common surfaces in public areas.

    With an increase in the number of fresh corona cases in Dakshina Kannada it is expedient that some measures immediately taken to control the epidemic. It is also important that restrictions are imposed on people to ensure their safeties. .
