Beltangady, Mar 27: In a collision between a bus and a bike at Padangady here, a bike rider succumbed to his injuries. The incident took place on Saturday, March 27.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Jabir, a resident of Poyyagudde here. The accident occurred between the bike and the KSRTC bus plying from Dharmastala to Udupi.
Jabir had returned from the Gulf to his hometown only 15 days ago. A police case has been registered in Beltangady police station in this connection.
Recently, over three people have lost their lives in a road accident. Rickshaw drivers each have died in accidents that took place in Kodaje and Ullal.
