Mangaluru: Journalist Pradesh H Marody chosen for PaGo award

Mangaluru, Mar 26: Journalist Pradesh H Marody, reporter, sub-editor at Prajavani daily has been chosen for the prestigious 'PaGo' award for the year 2020, in rural reporting.

The award has been instituted in memory of P Gopalakrishna by PaGo Memorial Trust and is presented annually by the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Union (DKWJU).

The award is being presented for his article 'Kelutila Male Makkala Alalu' published on June 25, 2020.

The selection committee consisting of Mangalore University SVP Kannada Study Center, assistant professor, Dr Dhanjay Kumble, researcher, Puttur Dr Shivaram Karanth, Balavana special duty officer, Dr Sundar Kenaje, and Mangalore University, journalism department professor, Dr Soumya KB Kikkeri selected Pradesh Marody for the award.

The PaGo award will be conferred on March 30 at 11 am at Mangalore Press Club. District in-charge minister Kota Shrinivas Poojary will present the award and the president of DKWJU Srinivas Indaje will preside over the event, informed general secretary Ibrahim Adkastala.
