Mangaluru, Mar 23: District president of Saravakaleju Vidhyarthi Sangha, Thanush Shetty said that the state government should provide a compensation of Rs 25 lac to the family of Aneesh Suvarna who recently died due to electrocution in a canteen at Wenlock hospital.
He was addressing a press meet at Arya Samaj Hall here on Tuesday, March 23.
"Aneesh died due to the negligence of the authority. Aneesh hails from a poor family. His death is an unbearable loss to his family," he said.
He also sought a detailed probe into Aneesh's death.
Speaking during the occasion Mohammed Ismail Afnan, president of Sarvakaleju Vidhyarthi Sangha (PUC) alleged that Preksha who allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Kumpala recently died due to threats from ganja addicts. Thus, the police should conduct a thorough probe into the case. He also said that the government should give proper compensation to the family.
Abubakar Siddique, working president of the organisation alleged that recently a Class 9 student from Katipalla committed suicide reportedly due to harassment from school authorities as he was poor in studies. Hence, the police department should hold a detailed probe into the matter.
Ibrahim Bhathish, state general secretary of the organisation informed that the organization will hold a protest demanding Rs 25 lac compensation to the victim's family in front of mini Vidhana Soudha on March 27 at 12.30 pm.
