Bengaluru, Mar 21: Former chief minister and leader of opposition on Sunday March 21 taunted state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, who had ridiculed him by saying that Siddaramaiah had 'bought 90 pairs of clothes in order to resign from the Congress party'.
Siddaramaiah tweeted, "I have purchased 90 pairs of clothese in order to donate to the BJP leaders who go everywhere, remove their clothes and sell their decency. If required I will donate a pair or two to Nalin Kumar Kateel also. It seems there are still 19 CDs left. Let everything be under control, including the tongue."
Recently, Siddaramaiah had bought 90 pairs of clothes from a mall. This became a matter of light-hearted discussion in the legislative assembly. BJP members had ridiculed in the assembly hall asking if the size would not alter, to which Siddaramaiah had replied that he has purchased only dhotis which can be worn even if he puts on weight.
State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel had taken a potshot at Siddaramaiah, saying that he had bought so many clothes in order to resign from the Congress party.
The matter of 19 CDs mentioned in the tweet by Siddaramaiah refers to the case of sleaze CD involving former minister of BJP Ramesh Jarkiholi. It is reported in the media that there are CDs of 19 more people of BJP, including many ministers.
