Bengaluru, Mar 20: Deputy chief minister and state higher education minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan underscored the need for ensuring that the prestige of the city was maintained and the development of Bengaluru must be in a systematic manner.
Speaking after inaugurating a two-day exhibition on 'City Futures', organized by the Institute of Urban Designers in Bengaluru on Saturday, he said it was a matter of pride that Bengaluru was growing in global stature at a fast rate and urged all the people to work for enhancing the city’s prestige and glory.
The deputy chief minister said proper and systematic planning and design in the architecture and construction activities must be maintained by the private as well as the government in its work.
Care must be taken to ensure that the building planning and designs must suit with the distinctive qualities of the city, he said.
