Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 18: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 64 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 34,999. Out of these, 428 cases are currently active.

A total of 6,02,113 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,67,114 are negative.

As many as 14 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,830.

A total of 741 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 36,648 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 37,72,910 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,966, including 38 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 140 cases are currently active.

Over 3,89,919 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 12 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,636.

A total of 190 deaths have occurred so far.
