Kundapur, Mar 18: Prathviraj Shetty from Hunchani, Golihole village in Byndoor taluk will be representing India in the T20 Cricket World Cup Tournament 2022 for the differently abled.
Prathviraj was born with physical deformities. He did not lose heart, took the situation as a challenge, and has emerged as an achiever. Prathviraj, son of Subhaschandra Shetty and Sheelavathi Shetty, got his primary education at Vagjyothi residential school for the specially-abled at Amparu Moodubage near here. He then got his secondary education at Mangal Jyothi School, Mangaluru.
Backed by the burning desire to achieve something in cricket, he has been practising with the local teams since the last ten years. He has won several prizes in cricket. He claimed seven wickets in four matches held recently at New Delhi. He has represented Karnataka State Cricket Association Mangaluru, state team of the differently abled and Karnataka cricket team and come off with flying colours.
