Bengaluru, Mar 18: During the verification by the special investigation team (SIT) officials, Rs 9.2 lac in cash was found in the R T Nagar residence of the lady who was found with Ramesh Jarkiholi in the controversial sleaze CD. Relating to the sex scandal, .the team had undertaken verification on Wednesday March 17. People living in the neighbourhood were also questioned.
The team which conducted checks till 10 pm, took away cash with it. It will now look into the source of cash.
Armed with a search warrant issued by the court, the team had checked the lady's house. Some items and important documents pertaining to the lady were also found during the checks, it is learnt.
The team went to the said house at R T Nagar all of a sudden. A team led by assistant commissioner of police, Dharmendra, performed checks. The building owner was questioned whether the lady in the CD was contacted by anyone and whether anyone else was visiting her when she was staying here.
The SIT was told that the lady had contacted the building owner after the CD was released, seeking apology for the trouble created by her. In the meantime, her parents had filed complaint in Belagavi on Tuesday, claiming that their daughter had been kidnapped by someone.
