Bengaluru, Mar 17: A lady, Hitesha Chandranee, who had accused a Zomato delivery boy of attacking her in an incident that made headlines in the social media, has fled from the city. She went missing after the delivery boy in question, Kamaraj, registered a complaint in the electronics city police station accusing the lady of attacking him.
The electronics city police personnel said that they wanted to contact the lady after a case was registered against her, naming her as the accused. "We learnt that she has left the city and currently residing in the house of a relative in Maharashtra," they revealed.

They said that the woman has been asked to file her statement as soon as she returns here. "Investigation into the incident will continue. If the lady fails to come forward and file statement, she would be arrested," they stated. The police are actively following the case. They have already verified the video footage of the incident which happened on March 9.
Food delivery boy, Kamaraj, who has been dismissed from service, says that the woman took out her footwear and hit him. "I too got angry and raised my hand but did not hit her. She attacked me with her footwear in hand, during which time her ring hit her nose as a result of which she was injured in the nose. She unnecessarily accused me of hitting her and made a big issue out of it," he stated.
Kamaraj was arrested after Hitesha Chandranee (31) residing at Doiddatagur area posted in social media stating that a Zomato delivery boy had punched her in the nose. He was arrested the next day by the Electronics City police personnel.
