Vijayapura, Mar 13: BJP MLA Basanagowda Patil Yatnal accused that there are gangs in Bengaluru who are into the business of making CDs of politicians and giving it to their opponents in order to make huge amounts of money.
Yatnal said, "Some people have started blackmail business in Bengaluru. There are gangs in the capital city whose work involves making CDs of politicians. Yuvaraj Swamy is also arrested for the same reason. Countless politicians have given money to Yuvaraj in order to become MP, member of RS or ministers.
Yuvaraj used to be in the residence of CM itself. Now he is having a crore of rupees. He has built a house worth Rs 50 crore. He used to get the food served on silver plates and tumblers to those who used to visit his home. He is a blackmailer. His photos with BJP national leaders have gone viral. But not a single photo with Chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa or his son Vijayendra is published.
"Some people deceive others by showing photos with political leaders. Some took cine stars to Delhi in order to get a minister position in the cabinet. All such people are now ministers."
Responding to the statement of minister S T Somashekhar who has accused Congress of hatching plot of making the Jarkiholi sex CD public, Yatnal said, "There is truth in what Somshekhar has said. He has said with 20 to 25 years of his experience. His word is like elixir. He knows the Congress culture. Congress is scared of doing bad deeds. It is very unfortunate that Congress gave bad leadership to the state.
"There are factories manufacturing CDs in the state. There are two people who are mainly involved in this. One each from Congress and BJP. Media should find out who those are."
Replying on the matter of handing over the CD issue to SIT, Yatnal said, "It is not right to hand over this case to SIT. It should have been given to the CBI. SIT can be influenced but it is not possible to influence CBI. So the CD case should be handed over to CBI for comprehensive investigation."
Reacting to the query on 2a reservation to the Panchamasali community, Yatnal said, "Many communities including Aadi Banajiga and Koodu Vokkaliga are not added to the caste list. Now the government has formed a committee under the leadership of a retired judge in the matter of providing reservations to the Panchamasali community. However, the government has not given any deadline to the committee. All communities including Panchamasali should get reservations. This committee formation should not just be a political stint. The Union government has declared a 10% reservation for Brahmins. But it is still not implemented in Karnataka.
"The government should set a deadline to the committee that is formed. Committee should not be limited only to claim TA and DA. The intention of the government in forming the committee is not right. All the communities that fall under the authority of CM should get reservation. All these processes should take place in a specified time limit. CM said recently that he will give clarification on this subject. But instead, home minister Bommai gave a statement.
"We do not acknowledge the committee that is formed by the government. I will take up this matter with CM on coming Monday. Let the CM tell how much time is required to provide reservation. He should clarify whether it will take a year or two or a whole century. Let the decision of the government get published through his statement. If CM does not give a clear answer in the assembly session on Monday, I will hold a protest."
