Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 10: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 25 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 34,619. Out of these, 218 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,87,244 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,52,625 are negative.

As many as 18 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,660.

A total of 741 deaths have occurred so far, including one on Wednesday.

Over 36,079 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 37,14,410 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,780, including 32 fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 107 cases are currently active.

Over 3,79,217 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,55,437 have turned out negative.

As many as seven patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,483.

A total of 190 deaths have occurred so far.
