Truck full of fish topples in Brahmavar, people go into looting spree

Brahmavar, Mar 9: A lorry carrying fish toppled near Heroor under Brahmavar police station limits on Tuesday March 9.

It is said that the driver lost control over the speeding lorry after which lorry overturned and fell on side of the road. The lorry was going from Karwar towards Ullal in Mangaluru. 

The driver suffered injuries in the mishap. Locals rushed him to a private hospital in Udupi.

People were seen frantically picking up the fishes from the road.

Brahmavar police arrived on the spot and cleared way for smooth flow of traffic.

    Mohammed India,wish I too were there to have some fresh fish as we dont have such facilities.One side it looks as if people simply rush there to collect as much as possible this free fish.On the other side this so fresh fish would only spoil in hot sun and no more useful to sell.I am sure this lorry was over loaded ,not secured nothing .so no wonder truck topples ,all containers with fish lost balance and was not to rescue sad.In future let them learn out of this to make it sure ,so that it doesnt fall,and not overload.Hope the driver is not having severe injury.wish him fast recovery.Now who pays for this loss?.
