Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 8: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 14 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 34,583. Out of these, 219 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,82,733 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,48,150 are negative.

As many as 20 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,624.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 35,743 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 36,80,810 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,735, including 18 fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 113 cases are currently active.

Over 3,77,188 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,53,453 have turned out negative.

As many as six patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,432.

A total of 190 deaths have occurred so far.
