Dubai, Mar 8: Dubai Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru on February 26 conducted its second Job Fair & Career Guidance session. It is a platform wherein the recruiters, industry experts and job seekers and candidates looking for a job change come together to exchange information, seek information and jobs are offered to the potential candidates.
The virtual zoom programme live on their Facebook page began with the introduction by Pallavi about the Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru group, its programmes over the past years and its vision to help Kannadigas followed by the welcome speech by Hadiya Mandya. The UAE National Anthem, Indian National Anthem and Karnataka State Anthem marked the respect of the participants.
In her presidential speech, Mamatha Mysuru stressed the need of Kannadigas associating in a large way to help other Kannadigas to get jobs in UAE so that they later become the promoters of Kannada language, culture wherever they are. She wished this mission every success.
Mohammed Mustafa, honorary president of HUK gave his clear message to the attendees to be honest in their CVs, present facts, to be practical and always to look forward for better by being themselves.
The expert speaker, Ummer Farooq explained the requirement of personality development, Raghavendra Manbol on the recruiter’s criteria and digital job search methods, Radha Jeevan briefed on positiveness at the interviews, Guru Nadkarni ignited the passion and purpose, Rafeeq cautioned the pitfalls and practical problems of expat job search, Vishnu Murthy on information approach and etiquette.
Several jobs offered by the recruiters along with job codes and descriptions were listed and displayed with complete information.
Praveen Shetty of Fortune Group offered eight jobs to Kannadigas and also explained how an employee and employer can work together to create a win win situation and long-term relationship and growth.
The vote of thanks was rendered by Vishnu Murthy Mysuru thanked all the experts, job aspirants, viewers, main organizing members, subcommittee members, Senthil - general secretary and technical support, Naveen Bharadwaj - moderator of the programme and Sadat the media coordinator for the success of the event.
A follow-up event of direct question and answer session was held on March 5 wherein Rafeeqali Kodagu, Mamatha Senthil, Hadiya Mandya, Shankar Belagavi, Senthil Bengaluru, Nizar Kasaragodu further interacted with the jobseekers across Karnataka and gave them loads of information about the job market, visa, accommodation, expenditure, risks, rules and regulations, precaution and tips about recruitment agencies.
