Kundapur: Man dies by suicide inside Thekkatte Mahalingeshwara Temple

Kundapur, Mar 7: In an incident that came to light on Sunday March 7, a man allegedly ended his life by hanging inside Thekkatte Mahalingeshwara Temple.

The deceased has been identified as Chandra Poojary (35), a resident of Thekkatte Baralibettu.

He was engaged in centering work at a construction site. He used to visit the temple everyday and help with the chores.

Locals said that of late, Chandra was suffering from depression. It is said that he used the rope of the temple well to hang himself.

The incident came to light when the temple sweepers reported to work on Sunday. The exact reason for taking the extreme step is yet to be known.

Chandra had got married a couple of years ago.

Kota police visited the spot and registered a case.
