Jarkiholi scandal: BJP high command worries over ministers seeking media restraint

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Mar 7: Reliable sources have said that a worried BJP high command has gathered information on the issue of six ministers approaching the court seeking media restraint on publishing or broadcasting derogatory CDs or news against them, following the release of BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi's sleaze tape and his subsequent resignation.

It is learnt that national BJP president J P Nadda discussed the matter on Saturday March 6 with minister Arvind Limbavali, who was called to Delhi from West Bengal, where he has been given the responsibility of five constituencies for the upcoming legislative elections.

It is gathered that J P Nadda asked Limbavali as to why the six ministers approach the court, stating that this action was akin to admitting wrongdoing. He also asked Limbavali whether they contacted the party leaders before approaching the court, and what was the suggestion given by the party. He also asked whether chief minister Yediyurappa had discussed the matter with them, why they showed show such urgency in approaching the court, sources said.

BJP leaders have alleged that there was political vendetta behind the release of Ramesh Jarkiholi's sex CD. Minister Yogeshwar has gone a step ahead and said that there was hand of an influential politician of Kanakapur origin, indirectly pointing fingers at KPCC president D K Shivakumar.

However, when the scribes questioned Limbavali at Karnataka Bhavan in the capital about his meeting with J P Nadda, he denied discussing the issue at all. "I did not discuss anything related to Karnataka politics. I came to Delhi due to the call of high command leaders in the wake of West Bengal elections. I have been given the responsibility of five legislative constituencies in West Bengal. I have discussed the party fortunes in those constituencies.

"I have not discussed anything regarding the CD issue of Karnataka. I did not get time to discuss it during the meeting with high command leaders. They did not ask either," he said.

Can anyone in BJP or the Courts of India stop from bringing dark issues of these Chor leaders through the international media?? No way. Just as Jarikoli's videos came out from some part of the world, these from Karnataka are fearing the same fate, as they are thriving only on corruption and greed. They have nothing to prove about their credentials. People of the whole world know everything about them. Jai Hind!!!

So True ! Why did they go to the court without consulting any one in the party ? There were easier ways of paying crores and hushing up the matter than getting this bad publicity eh ?

Appreciate Mr. J P Nadda statement asking why these six ministers approach the court and their action was akin to admitting wrongdoing. These minister's should have discussed with CM and State BJP President.

There used to be a time rulers were Kings and all the people were his subjects. People had absolutely no rights other than those granted by the Kings. All the rules, rights and duties were dictated by Kings! Some of the Kings had wisdom and some had not. There were no consistency of rules and moral values for citizens guidance. Then came GREAT reformation of GOVERNANCE, i.e. DEMOCRACY, wherein people would choose a leaders among them, who are good to lead and to be a role model for them. NOW, times started changing. These elected representatives trying to REMOVE, people's and media's right of knowing them and questioning them.

Limbavali went just to feel the last few winter days in Delhi. Just to discuss about West Bengal elections when his state government is in a mess. BJP is only a bag full of lies.

In an earlier article . Cynthia, Kirem, referred Kallahalli as village thief and you say dark village. It is a village in Mysore district, the name probably derived from stones (Kallu) " village of stones", that is what someone told me. What he told me also may not be 100% reliable. Hence, my comment on both the cases is just a view.

Ministers seeking media restraint is akin to applying anticipatory bail. When person apprehends that there is a move to get him arrested on some charges, applies for it. Surely when six ministers approached the court, they are indirectly admitting the wrongdoing.
