Bengaluru, Mar 6: In a development that is surprising, six ministers who joined the BJP presumably at the behest of Ramesh Jarkiholi, have approached the city civil court here seeking an order restraining the media from transmitting news, contents of which might be against them.
Labour minister Shivaram Hebbar, minister for agriculture B C Patil, sports minister Narayana Gowda, health minister K Sudhakar, minister for cooperation S T Somashekhar, and urban development minister Byrathi Basavaraju, are the ministers who have filed applications in the court.

Ramesh Jarkiholi, who belongs to this camp, had to re-sign last week after the release of a CD involving him with a woman in a comprising way. The applications now filed by these ministers have not only aroused curiosity among the people but also doubts have arisen about the purpose of these applications.
These ministers were with the Congress before they left en masse to join the BJP, win the elections, and become ministers. They had stayed in a resort at Mumbai, withstood efforts made to woo them back, and caused the fall of the coalition government in the state.
