Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 4: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 19 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 34,506. Out of these, 205 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,73,525 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,39,019 are negative.

As many as 10 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33561.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 35,256 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 36,32,710 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23651, including 11 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 73 cases are currently active.

Over 3,47,539 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,23,888 have turned out negative.

As many as nine patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23388.

A total of 190 deaths have occurred so far.
