Bantwal: Veteran Congressman Lawrence Rodrigues passes away at 88

Bantwal, Mar 4: Lawrence Rodrigues (88), resident of B Mooda village, Bhandaribettu passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence on March 4.

He is survived by five sons and four daughters.

He was a veteran Congressman and a progressive farmer. He was an expert in paddy farming. He was the first to use a huller in Bantwal to skin out paddy. He was visited by farmers from far off places for this reason.

He was a senior member of the Bhandaribettu ward of Modankap Church. Former minister B Ramanath Rai and block Congress president Baby Kunder have expressed their condolences on his demise.
