Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 3: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday recorded 19 new cases of novel coronavirus.

As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 5,71,951 samples have been tested so far, out of which 5,37,464 have turned out to be negative.

The total number active cases is 196. As many as 15 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The total number of deaths so far is 740.

So far, the district administration has collected a whopping Rs 36,17,410 as fine in 35,102 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 3,71,183 samples have been tested so far, out of which 3,47,539 have turned out to be negative.

As many as 23 new cases were reported on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 23,644, out of which only 75 are currently active.

11 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The district has reported 190 deaths due to coronavirus so far.
