Bantwal, Mar 1: Bantwal block Congress and Panemangalore block Congress party held unique protests in front of B C Road Mini Vidhan Sauda in the leadership of former minister B Ramanath Rai condemning the rise in prices of Petrol, diesel and essential commodities.
A rally by foot was held from Kaikamba Polali Dwara till B C Road mini Vidhan Soudha. A Donkey was a special attraction. A bullock cart was brought pulling it with shoulder support by former minister Ramanath Rai and party heads. District panchayat member Chandraprakash Shetty, municipal council member Hasainar and Panemangalore block president Sudeep Shetty came riding on bicycle from Kaikamba Dwara and joined the protest rally.
Rice was cooked on firewood below the pandal after the rally expressed anguish.
Ramanath Rai said that the mask of those who came to power on the basis of falsehood is exposed and there are thousands of witnesses for it.

Mani gram panchayat president Balakrishna Alva conducted the programme.
