Dubai: Authorities shut Shisha cafe, salon for violating Covid norms

Dubai, Feb 27: Two outlets were closed by the Dubai authorities for violation of Covid safety norms placed to contain the spread of the pandemic.

The two establishments - shisha cafe in Oud Metha and a salon in the Naif area were ordered to be shut for non-compliance with health and safety protocols.

The order for the closure was followed by the daily field inspections carried out by the Dubai municipality.

The authority further announced it had issued eight fines and 15 warnings as part of 2,274 inspections it carried out on Thursday.

The total commitment rate of the establishment towards Covid precautionary measures was 99 percent, it added.
