Kadaba: Accident involving gas, diesel tankers brings traffic to abrupt halt

Kadaba, Feb 27: Traffic on national highway 75 came to standstill for some time after a gas tanker and diesel tanker got involved in an accident on Saturday February 27. The accident took place in front of Ashwini Hospital, Nellyadi, which affected movement of vehicles.

The gas tanker was moving to Bengaluru from Mangaluru while the diesel tanker was bound for Mangaluru from Kolar. The two vehicles collided head on. Both the drivers escaped with minor injuries and luckily, the gas did not leak.

The area was covered in thick fog during the early morning hours. Poor visibility is thought to have caused this accident. A complaint about the accident was registered at Nellyadi police station.

    Our heavy drivers specially Tanker drivers think thy are supersonic. For them driving in a good visibilty & Fog they think same . If there is heavy for trailers , Tankers should be banned till it is clear
