Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 25: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 24 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 34,374. Out of these, 205 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,63,112 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,28,738 are negative.

As many as 22 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,429.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 34,086 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 35,15,510 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,569, including 12 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 63 cases are currently active.

Over 3,63,519 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,39,950 have turned out negative.

As many as 11 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,316.

A total of 190 deaths have occurred so far, including one on Thursday.
