Mangaluru, Feb 24: Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, enjoys the highest Z+ security cover. However, when he was travelling in zero traffic from the city to Kasargod on Sunday, it has been found with inordinate delay.
Yogi Adityanath, after arriving at the international airport here, had travelled to Kasargod by road. He had taken part in the victory rally there. In the evening, he came back to the city and boarded his flight back at night.
When the VVIP and his security cordon of NSG commandos and others were travelling to Kasargod with an assortment of escort vehicles, a private Scorpio vehicle got into the line of security vehicles between Nanthoor and Pumpwell, unnoticed. No one had observed it for seven to eight km. When the entourage reached Thokkottu, police personnel following the vehicles noticed the private vehicle after which it was taken into custody at Talapady.
The entire highway stretch between the city and Kasargod was lined up with police personnel since morning as Yogi Adityanath has Z+ security. At the important circle, too several police officers had been deployed, and the police worked for about eight hours till Yogi returned at night. Still, the Scorpio vehicle which joined the line of security vehicles without being noticed by the police came as a surprise. In the zero traffic, vehicles zoom at high speed, and it is surprising how the private vehicle mentioned above manage to join the line.
The vehicle, after it was taken into custody, was handed over to the Ullal police. During the questioning, it came to light that those in the vehicle had no evil intentions and they had joined the line without having any information. The people were allowed to go after imposing a fine for violating Motor Vehicles Act rules. Police sources said that those in the vehicle were from Kerala.
