Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 23: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 17 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 34,341. Out of these, 211 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,58,533 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,24,192 are negative.

As many as 16 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,390.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 33,664 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 34,77,840 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,550, including 12 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 60 cases are currently active.

Over 3,60,406 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,36,856 have turned out negative.

As many as five patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,301.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
